 In time, it is easy to lose track of why you are doing something. Whether it is because the obstacles seem to loom over you, or simply because you have become busy. The reason you commit to something, a sport, a theatrical production, academic success, your health, and many other things, can be placed in the back of your mind. These goals that seemed to drive you, are buried within, hidden. They stay hidden, until they can not anymore. Suddenly, the reason that you have committed so many hours, so many sleepless nights, and many early mornings to, is taken away from you. These goals and reasons suddenly weigh you down, you had the chance to exceed them, only you forgot why you were doing what you love to do. Now, you sit, with the revelation that your passion has been taken away from you. 

 

  This photography portfolio, though simply named after myself, tells the story of the last seven years of my life. I have given many hours, early mornings, and late nights to practices at the ice arena. Though I knew that I was passionate about the sport of figure skating, over time I forgot why I truly adored the sport. One accident changed how I look at this passion of mine. This photography portfolio is the story of growth that can be made in seven years. Photographs that helped me not only cope, but reignite my flame of passion for the ice. This is the photographic story of passion through a lifetime.
